Together - to harmony!
Since 2014 as per decision of the UN, June 21 is celebrated annually around the world as International Day of Yoga that is an ancient philosophical teaching that originated in India and is aimed at finding harmony of body and spirit.
On this day master classes, joint practices and meditations, festivals, and lectures are held everywhere. Among the very first in our country (and around the world as well!) in 2015 the city of Tomsk supported this endeavor: on the initiative and with active support of Imperial Energy, Indian company with Siberian soul! For many years IE has been the main organizer and sponsor of the Yoga Day in Tomsk, and our employees have been and still remain constant participants.
This year celebration of the International Day of Yoga, which has already become the eleventh one in a row, was held in Tomsk on June 21, in the sports complex of Siberian State Medical University. The guests including the troops of IE employees led the by Russian and Indian management were warmly welcomed by Mr. M. Maksimov, Head of Tomsk Regional Sports Department Maksim Maksimov, N. Turusheva, representative of the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs, A. Stukanov, Head of Regional Department of International and Regional Relations. After that the guests admired the demo performances of acroyoga masters and representatives of other yoga directions, and also took part in group training under guidance of Mr. A. Sartakov, long-term host of Yoga Day in Tomsk and Director of yoga center "Lakshmi". The training session was held based on special training program sent by the Embassy of India in Russia, which included breathing exercises, various asanas, and relaxing meditation.
Our colleagues and their family members, who took part in the holiday, were once again clearly convinced that yoga is not just a set of physical exercises, but a deep spiritual practice that gives strength and peace of mind. And in the case of Imperial Energy it also serves as an additional bridge connecting the people of two the countries – Russia and India that are closely working together!
